Ikes Grulln Drifter (Ace)

This picture was taken of Ace one week before his second birthday. This same day he measured a half inch over 15 hands.

Ace has solid black colour to go with his solid muscling. He has a charisma not often seen in a horse this age.  Ace has outstanding conformation and bone as well as a super nice disposition.

He is an own son of Ikes Double Drift. Ike earned over 200 points in heading, healing, calf roping and halter and has two superiors. He is owned by the Turners and stands at the famous Four Sixes ranch in Guthrie, Texas.

Every bit as spectacular as his sire line is his dam's side of the family. Ace's dam is an own daughter of the great Drifts Chip. Drifts Chip stood at the Four Sixes ranch in Guthrie, Texas and has proven himself to be one of the greatest ranch horse sires of all time. Drifts Chip and his progeny have been incorporated into the breeding programs of some of the biggest and most successful ranches in the world today. Drifts Chip's pedigree combines a double dose of Driftwood with the proven performance bloodlines of the King Ranch and Joe Hankcock. Drifts Chip is a cowboy type, foundation bred performance horse who possess the traits that depict a fine stallion.

Jim West described Drifts Chip as, "Pretty enough to lead a parade, tough enough to pick up bucking horses at the NFR, fast enough to haze for bulldoggers and still sound at 21 after years of hard use. "

Ace is double bred Drifts Chip from both sides, however he looks more like a clone of this great stallion.

Ace is registered with the National Foundation Quarter Horse Association and the American Quarter Horse Association.
