Photos taken as a three year old.
This handsome, rugged, blood bay stallion is an own son of Ikes Double Drift (see photos below). Ike is owned by the Turner Ranch and stands at the famous 6666's ranch in Guthrie, Texas. He has over 200 AQHA points in heading, healing, calf roping and halter. He has earned Superiors in heading and healing and is nearing his superior in calf roping. Ike was also a Junior heading finalist at the AQHA World Show. He has accomplished all this at a young age and is still going strong in performance and the show ring.  This outstanding horse will be one of the greats.

Tex's powerful dam is right off the famous Haythorn ranch and is a grand daughter of the great rope horse sire Orphan Drift.  With Driftwood breeding on both sides of the pedigree, Tex has a heavy concentration of one of the most legendary families of using horses in the history of the Quarter Horse breed. Tex does not carry the common Doc Bar or Poco Bueno lines in his pedigree making him a perfect outcross on these families of horses. With only 60 days under saddle Tex is already doing spins and sliding stops. Tex has size, power and disposition to go with his tremendous conformation. His willing nature and kind ways are a bonus. It would be hard to improve on this Texas bred stallion. Tex's offspring are big strapping colts , often with a lot of colour.

Sire: Ikes Double Drift shown above.
Tex is also registered with the National Foundation Quarter Horse Association and listed with the APHA
